Awomanswrites.com will share stories to guide girls and women past difficult times in their lives. Kristin Woods found the difficulties in a childhood laced with alcoholism and anger helped her become a stronger, more independent woman - emotionally healthy today. Many of the stories that will appear on the site are from the manuscript "©Child in a Storm." Kristin has chosen to print the stories here rather than to publish "©Child in a Storm" as a traditional book. In this fashion she can personally interact with her readers. There are eight childhood stories in "Child in a Storm" that deal with issues such as theft by a child, hunger, Co-dependency and the pain associated with missed events between father and daughter.

The foundation of each story is true, embellished with a writer's creativity that crystallizes or enhances the theme of each story. These are not unique stories as they happen in the lives of girls and women every day. They are shared so other women can realize that events as these do have a dramatic, frightening effect on us, however, they can also be a part of our life journey - used as a foundation for our strength, versatility and survival - tossing away old baggage so that we grow healthy in mind and sprit.

There are three main sections to awomanswrites.com - Each with a different and unique flavor.

The section "Cookies & Tea" is for mother daughter sharing. The author and her daughter, Bethany, have been sharing experiences that truly must be just like the experiences of so many others mother daughter ensembles, so enjoy!

"Lady Road Warrior" is for women in sales who often travel as part of their work and find lonely and solitary moments with family far away. For many years, Kris's Husband, Lou, wrote daily motivational, humorous, loving messages on a scrap piece of paper tucked in her daily vitamin packet. Many of these messages have universal meaning and will be shared to lighten the travels of The Lady Road Warriors all over the country.

"Becoming a Voice" is a place to post stories or reflections from other women writers on subjects related to life issues of women - work, family, marriage, children, careers. Health and spirt.
